Tour description
The tour begins visiting the main attractions of the old town such as Porta Napoli, the monumental entrance to the city, Santa Croce’s Basilica with its fascinating baroque style and Sant’Oronzo Square. The tour goes on in the heart of the town discovering the gastronomic tradition through itinerant tastings in: a traditional bakery, to discover the excellences of the salentinian art of baking like Puccia and Frisa; a typical winery to taste some traditional Apulian wines; an artisanal patisserie, to taste Pasticciotto Leccese; a historic bar, to sip the can’t-miss Caffè Leccese. The tour ends through the characteristic narrow streets of the old town, discovering the Amphitheater and the Roman Theater, the squares and the lovely baroque style from Lecce, visiting the immense Piazza del Duomo, one of the most beautiful squares in Italy. Standard Full or Half-Day Tours: Free cancellation is available up to 7 days (168 hours) before the scheduled departure time for all standard half-day and full-day tours. Please note that we reserve the right to deduct up to 15% of the total booking amount to cover administrative, currency conversion, and transaction fees. Cancellations made less than 7 days before the start of the activity, as well as no-shows on the day of the tour, will incur a 100% cancellation penalty and are not eligible for a refund. * The number of hours is calculated from the moment the cancellation request is received until the scheduled start time of the activity.
