Italy can boast 58 sites included in the UNESCO World Heritage List: among these, Alberobello, Matera and Castel del Monte are easily reachable from Bari.

The blue flag is a recognition given by the Foundation for Environmental Education to European coastal locations that meet quality criteria relating to bathing water parameters.
In Puglia Polignano a Mare, Ostuni and Monopoli have  obtained the blue flag status for several consecutive years
